Answer: If you mean sell your house without using a third party real estate professional, your choices are either selling directly to an investor, or selling your house on the retail market.

If you're interested in keeping the transaction off the public records, generally that will be up to the purchasing technique of the individual buying your home. You can buy a house privately, for example in a land trust, this keeps the name of the buyer off of public records. You generally cannot get conventional financing for that kind of transaction though. If you are buying a house all cash, or have a cash investor, then you can certainly buy a house using a trust and not disclose the purchaser on public records. In this case, generally the name of the trust and trustee are on public record.
